The Way Forward

The SWH has been conceived in order to give an answer to a critical question: how to bring energy in a clean and reliable way in every situation where the main electrical grid is either non existent or defective?

The answer is double fold. First, electricity has to be delivered by means of distributed generation, hence overcoming the un-viability and high up-front cost of adding power capacity through centralised power plants and of reaching remote and low-inhabited areas through electricity grid extension. Moreover, such electricity has to be produced by means of alternative, clean energy sources that overcome the two main criticalities of fossil fuels: high and increasing cost of fuelling and pollution.

Avoiding the use of fossil fuels is a must for our planet's future and for a sustainable development for developing countries and emerging markets. Moreover, the adoption of renewable energy sources such as the SWH is sensible from a financial point of view: by being in line with Kyoto Protocol and global fight against Climate Change, the SWH allows for a reduction of pollutant Greenhouse Gases (GHG), hence allowing its purchasers to take advantage of the Carbon Credits system*.

The SWH unifies the advantages of two efficient renewable energy sources: wind and sun. Wind and sun are free of charge, widely available, and will never cease. Putting together the two sources allows the SWH to have the redundancy needed in order to give a stable, reliable source of energy to the final users.
